IRS and ASB pretrip meeting!

There are still a few hours left to get help from the IRS people (they are here till 4:00) and remember the winter ASB pretrip meeting is today at 5:00 in the Union. The room should be posted on the City Union events calendar.

Important notes for Friday Dec. 9th

The winter ASB pre-trip meeting is tomorrow at 5:00 pm (room TBA). Also tomorrow from 1-4pm the IRS will be here to help educate tax volunteers.

Keep that studying going!


In the Center today:
-Again, check out the Live Big Scholarships. It could be a great way to get some money for school which is something that is always a plus.
-If you are interested in learning how to do taxes or want to volunteer check out the volunteer tax program.
-There is still time to sign up for the Winter ASB apps are due December 9th by 5:00 in Student Involvement.

Happy 15th Week!

-First off, the Center would like to wish everyone a happy 15th week of studying. The semester is busier than ever right now but in two weeks it will be time for Christmas Break!
-Live Big scholarships are due Dec. 9th. UNL only has 4 applications entered in, so the chances of receiving a scholarship are very good! Check out these two links for more info and the scholarship form. It is an easy application http://engage.unl.edu/livebig-initiative for info and http://www.btnlivebig.com/scholarship/ for the form. 
-The winter alternative service break still has spots open for students to attend! Applications are available in the 222 Ne Union and will be due this Friday in Student Involvement by 5:00 pm.
-Also, the Winter ASB pre-trip meeting is this Friday at 5:00 in the NE Union room TBA (will be posted).
-In regards to the UNL Tax Credit Campaign
     -Students can still sign up and we are ready to take the volunteers. Check out our website for more information (http://engage.unl.edu/unl-tax-credit-campaign-2012) or come visit the Center (222 NE Union). 
     -The IRS will be here Friday from 1:00-4:00 p.m. so students can learn firsthand from professionals.
     -Also, if students have signed up they can come pick up their materials here in the Center.
